Buenos noches amigos.

Feast or famine lately…and after 30 fotos ayer, hoy you have two. Doph.

But first our day.

Great news for Bexico on the technical issue she was having. She worked hard at it and came up with a work around to get the problem solved. Who new she was a techie?

As well, she finished the Paris project, finished the Vancouver project and is currently working on the monkey animation and finishing two logos which would then complete her 4th contract. She is waiting (again) to hear from the Israeli client and has good news from her Vancouver client…he has more work for her!! Felicidades.

So her day was all about ejercicio, work and a run to Che.

My day was all about el gimnasio and Che. No walk through town as the weather changed around 1130am and it has essentially been a down pour since then. No alberca time again…and are we losing our tan? Ja ja ja

All the excitement regarding the pot hole paving has come to an abrupt end.

They completed an area 2x5 metros…and nothing else!! Ja ja ja

El gimnasio was good, not too many peeps as the rain kept them away.

Here was the clima above the montaña at 11am. Thirty minutes later…downpour.

Bolted home and spent the afternoon browsing the web and catching up. Had another credit card issue but after calling TD Bank and changing my contact number, I received a phone call from the East Coast of the USA and my order has been placed. Still waiting to see if the manual Nike.co order gets placed.

On the way to Che we stopped to check out movies. Huge line up but we only saw a bunch of animated ones and could not wait to see if they were en ingles. Proxima semana…next week!!

Off to correo de poste…no book for Bexico. In think it has been 3 months…adios libro!! We are 6 out of 7 on items mailed here.

Then popped into Elektra where both salesmen looked at us with straight faces and told us again, that the w/d on the floor has been sold for the past 3 weeks, just not picked up yet.

BS…but what can we do? Welcome to Mexico…ja ja ja. We actually have 5 months until we need the w/d…lots of time...still hoping to have it all completed before we leave in September.

Che was Che...picked up some more cheddar…they are almost out!!
La cena will be cerdo lomo and mañana looks like burritos.

Came home, Bexico went back to work and I spent the rest of the afternoon on iTunes…time for some new musica para el gimnasio!!

8pm…dinner is almost ready.

Mañana? Weather dependent…looks like a stay at home afternoon. Oh well…9 months of great weather and three a mixed bag. We’ll take it.

9pm…lluvia has started up again but more great news for Bexico…another unsolicited request for her to interview for a contract!!

That’s all folks.

Hasta luego.

Hola!! 630pm and I have just returned from a walk in the lluvia!! It started at 3pm and has not let up.

Why the walk? We needed some verdura para nuestra ensaldas y pollo para la cena. Doph…forgot to pull some carne out of the fridge…but it is all good as I went back to the boys at the new pollo roti tienda and grabbed a fresh roti con roasted cebollo!!

The dos hombres working the roti, were happy to see me again and we had a great chat while waiting for our bird. Where are we from? Why are we here? How long have we been here etc.

Flip flops and an umbrella…welcome to rainy season. I saw a lady y hija walking with their golf umbrella and I said “me gusta su grande paraguas” and they both laughed.

Waiting on ensaladas and while we do, here is our day.

Bexico was busy from the get go. She has had a few days of good sleep and has risen earlier then normal to accomplish some work.

She still has 4 or 5 clients on the go and continues to apply for more contracts and interview for current leads. All is good there…only having a small technical issue with the monkey animation. But Bexico is working hard to solve it…I am no help there. Lo siento!!

This afternoon Bex had a Skype with some very energetic midwives from North Vancouver. Just gathering our facts and ensuring we are all set to go once we land back in Vancouver. They seem to be quite knowledgeable and say all the right things to keep both of us calm!! Ja ja ja

It is all about making informed decisions and allowing us to have the birth the way we want…including a last minute epidural if so desired. (for me that is…Daddy down!!! Ja ja ja).

My day? No different then ayer…but more fotos!!

Weather was overcast this morning so temps are great and it also allows some fotos vs dashing through puddles.

As I was leaving the complex, I gave Silverio (pronounced Silberio) a All Bran bar (compliments of Bexico) and left my camera as I took care of recycling. When I got back, Silverio hand me my camera and it is evident he has never held or used a DSLR before. So I took 10 minutes to walk him through the camera and he was quite excited about the zoom lense.

Here are the 3 fotos Silverio took.

It was all about the zoom lense and then with the coco fotos it was all about the difference between automatic and manual settings.

Hit the gym and it was empty. I had a great workout and a short chat with mi amiga Rosa. Her arm is not better and now she has Galdino asking her who is going to clean the gym. Yikes.

Headed through town on the way home and caught up with the boys. Their big rapido partido is on viernes and Bexico and I will make it a date night!! Ja ja ja

Grabbed some platanos and then had some chilly alberca time con mi novia. We were waiting until after the Skype to go for our walk, but the lluvia came and that changed our plans.

I spent some time on line and managed to buy some shirts and shorts and have them sent to Portland OR. But had no luck with Nike.com so I ended up having to plug in the Magicjack and call them to o place the order. I ordered three more pairs of trainers…impossible to find here in Mexico.

I also tried to order some items from ToysRUs.com…but had the same issue. Their websites will not accept a billing address in Canada with a delivery address in the USA. Dumb.

Take a look at this item though.

Funner para niño!!

I am going to ask Nick if he can order it for us instead. And ToysRUs has even sent me $10 as a way of saying sorry. The kicker? They tell me I cannot order from them...and then flood my email with electronic ads!!

As for the weather…it was too wet and slippery for mom to be, so I went out and grabbed the goods. La cena was soooo good and at 9pm, we both sit in the living room working away on our lap tops.

Here are the rest of the fotos from hoy.

Anyone know where this is?

Not sure…but it is somewhere in China. Thank you Ackeeu for another foto from your journey.

As I was coming up to the parque, I saw that it was orange season again.

And who is that to the right of the truck? Mi amigo Daniel!!

The rain had stopped, so the pothole repair team was out.

Note the red big rig in the right of the foto. More on it later.

And guess which of these guys is the jefe...boss.

The big rig? It backed itself up a one way street and then took a right down a street that is normally two way.

But due to the paving, it became a very busy one way street and after 15 minutes, the truck gave up and I saw it drive down the one way street…this time in the right direction.

This hombre was watching all the action.

And when I asked Daniel if this next group were his amigos…

or maybe his equipo (team) de Fonatur getting ready for un partido de soccer, both Daniel and the ol Senor had a laugh.

The pile has gotten bigger.

But I think by the time he is finished, he will just need to start again.

This niño was selling some home made goods.

Not sure what they are called, but they were round and looked like they had chocolate in between the two wafers.

These hombres were bagging some mangos to sell.

They probably get a few crates fairly cheap and then make their $$ from selling them bagged.

And the traffic island has become a papaya stand today.

There is a corner lot very near the gym. The owners usually have several dogs chained up…today I saw dos perros that I have never seen before.

And from mecanico alley.

Something does not look safe here. Kinda like a Coyote (vs Roadrunner) ACME trap.

And an updated foto of the camio de concreto.

I think the clima (weather) is delaying the final paint job.

And in front of a comida.

Almost every day I see a niño getting rocked in his hammock.

Here are a few truck drivers getting some rest before they head back to where ever they have come from.

The Mexicans (and dos Canadiense!!) love their hammocks!!

And back at the parque.

These food carts are always packed at lunch time.

This niño was walking with his madre y hermanos, who were slightly a head of him.

They came upon busy Blvd Chahue and madre left her stroller on one side and took the niño across and told him to sit and wait for her.

It was then that I went and assisted the senorita across the Blvd and took this foto as they walked away.

Who’s that trying to escape from the stroller?

What is the caption to this next foto?

“Thank you…you may go now?”

And why do the tamarindos park themselves at this spot?

Maybe everyone is missing the alto sign?

Why are the cars avoiding the centre of calle Bugambilia?

Hello...grande bache…big pothole.

And this is the one they repaired after the last big storm. Doph.

And not wanting to spoil your regalo de Navidad...but here are the ceramic perro hombres.

Here they are unloading and unpacking.

And here is one of the hombres….sooooo close to a sale!!

And last but not least.

Senor Gecko is back.

And for our miercoles? Must get to the cine to ask “¿que pelicula es en ingles?” and see if anything catches our fancy for 2 for 1 movie night. Also have a Che trip and an Elektra trip planned.

Bexico might be down to 3 contracts by mañana…but always looking for more.

Hasta manaña amigos.

Buenos tardes amigo.

530pm and I have spent the afternoon browsing the noticia (news) websites while it was pouring rain outside. The rain has now stopped and while I await my ensalada, it is a perfect time to start the update.

Here is what the montaña looked like today.

It started out overcast but the skies let loose while I was in the gym. A wet walk home, but the ol’zip lock bag kept the camera dry.

Lluvia means no walk through town, nor alberca time. Good thing Bexico has lots of work…5 clients on the go!! She did pick up the 5th client today, a twist on a drawing of some characters that she created for the same client. Due on miercoles…this guy is always on a short timeline.

And then she was given rave reviews for the “interview” she completed for another client. She had to send in some samples as well as answer some questions regarding ability to complete required work for the client. She sailed through it and will hear back soon!!

Bexico still has the dream of working at Pixar, and is currently getting more work experience by living here and completing many different types of projects, vs the sit in a studio doing the same type of work day in and day out. We will see where it all leads…Bexico working on Toy Story 5?

Heading out and asked Silverio if he was watching today’s partido (match). He did not know what I was talking about and now I know why. It is Woman’s World Cup…I guess there is less interest?

Hector said the rain would hold off until late afternoon…I said una de la tarde (1pm). Guess who was right!! Ja ja ja

I had a great time at the gym…but poor Rosa. She has her arm in a sling and it is extremely swollen and tender. She is going to a doctor, is on medicine, but I cannot understand if she actually knows what is wrong with it.

Lunes at el gimnasio also mean updating her about my weekend. She laughed at the fact I was spending so much time browsing online for ropa para niños.

Running home, stopped to give Daniel one of Bexico’s remaining All Bran bars. He thanked me as it was pouring rain, and then went back to work. Ugh.

No foto because of the lluvia, but for the first time ever, I saw a private company (working for Fonatur) actually filling potholes with asphalt!!

Not many, but here are the rest of today’s limited amount of fotos.

The view looking down Carrizal.

Those are Condo Pacifico on the left and if you walked 5 minutes down Carrizal, you would come to the zocalo y centro of La Crucecita.

Here are the same Policia Municipal.

With the shotgun always at the ready.

Fonatur bus.

And look at these two fotos and see what a little lluvia will do for the flora.

I asked Rosa about these hombres.

They are tradesmen who are available for day labour. Rosa says they are very skilled, fast and economico!!

The wheelbarrow pushing dulce (sweets) hombre.

Not sure what he did during the downpour.

And who knew?

Here in Huatulco, a perro walker.

615pm…ensaladas are finished and this entry is almost too.

Esta noche…la cena en una hora…hamurguesa lunes!! Might watch a DVD or get deeply immersed in the español review I have been postponing.

Mañana? No special plans. Pronóstico del tiempo (weather forecast) is for a wet week, so we play our Mojon plans by ojo (eye) and what we see when we wake up.

830pm...time for more pie. The results? Outstanding pie!! How do you say pie in español? Google says "pastel"...Rosa say pie is pie!! Ja ja ja.

Hasta luego.

530pm in Huatulco and can you say “downpour”?. It was an overcast morning and the dark clouds rolled in during the afternoon and the skies have opened up!!

All good as we got our quick walk done earlier in the day, and the temperatures reflect the weather…in 10 minutes the temp dropped from 30 grados to 26.9. Nice and cool.

Buenos tardes and we hope you had a great domingo.

Nascar is over for the week and time for ensaladas and then we will send you a few apple pie fotos!!!

Nascar on the big screen.

Had a great internet feed today and great racing (bumping) between Vickers (pictured) and Smoke (Tony Stewart).

615pm and Bexico is back at work on her monkey project. She has 4 clients now, possibly a 5th by mañana and just received an unsolicited offer to interview for another project!! And….has become Bexico Crocker of the postres (desserts).

Look at that conejito "bump"!! Níno is super active in there.

And here is the pie through its stages of production.

Stay tuned for the foto showing the pie con helado de vanilla!!

Our day was a mish mash. Bexico still has bouts of insomnia…can you say “fell asleep at 530am”?. Yikes. So we let her sleep in until 1130am when it was time to have our brunch…hello Aunt Jemima!!

Race started at 2pm and we needed some goods for our salads and the pie, so out we went for the quick walk. Not too hot under the overcast skies. Lots of peeps on Carrizal.

Ricardo at the gate was all excited about anoche 4-2 win that Mexico had over the USA…boy do they love their soccer-football down here.

No alberca time due to the race and then the rain…oh well.

7pm Skype for Bexico and then it will be hamburguesa time.

Mañana? Odds and ends for me…plus el gimnasio as I work off two pieces of pie!! Ja ja ja

Bexico has a ton of work and wants to get ahead of the curve as we have clase starting semana proxima.

Here is a question for our maestra (teacher). Why is it proxima salida (next exit), but semana proxima (next week)?

Oh yes…so excited about clase!! Ja ja ja

Have a great lunes.

Marco y Bexico
